The destination duty matrix
To our 44 named international free-delivery destinations we pay the express air freight in full. In New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and our named duty-paid Asia/Pacific countries we also prepay local VAT/GST, import duty and clearance. Buyers in the European Union, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia pay their own import duty and local taxes to the carrier on arrival. Other destinations show freight and border-charge responsibility before payment.
1. What your price includes
There is no freight line at checkout on a boat or boat package. The price shown is the price that lands in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and named duty-paid Asia/Pacific destinations: we prepay freight, import duty, local tax and customs clearance. EU buyers and buyers in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia pay import charges to the carrier on arrival. Other destinations have their freight and border-charge responsibility shown before payment.
| Destination | Freight | Duty & local taxes | Payable on arrival |
|---|---|---|---|
| Australia | Included | GST, duty & clearance included | Nothing |
| Duty-paid destinations | Included | Prepaid by us | Nothing |
| EU, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines & Indonesia | Included | Buyer pays import duty and local taxes | Carrier collects charges |
| Other destinations | Shown at checkout or on quote | As stated for the country | As stated before payment |
Buyers in the EU pay their own import charges; see International Terms of Trade for the full destination list and governing clauses. Accessories ordered on their own are priced separately.
2. Free-delivery countries
Australia-wide delivery is included. The source policy lists 44 international free-delivery countries. Duty/tax prepayment applies only to the duty-paid lanes named above; free freight in other listed countries does not mean local import taxes are prepaid.
Named destinations include New Zealand, Fiji, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong SAR and listed European countries. The exact full list and customs treatment are subject to the written destination quote and International Terms of Trade.

3. Import duty, VAT/GST & clearance
In Australia, the stated boat price is fully landed. For New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and named duty-paid Asia/Pacific countries, freight, import duty, local tax and clearance are prepaid. Buyers in the European Union, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia pay import charges to the carrier on arrival. For other destinations, the quote or checkout will disclose the applicable duty and tax position before payment.
A destination’s customs authority sets its import charges. Check the written terms for your exact order; the International Terms of Trade govern destination-specific obligations.
Full biosecurity inspection applies to standard DDP and non-express shipments. Inspections may happen on export, import or at any transit hub. Customs may select any shipment at random. We, the factory and the freight forwarder cannot choose, prevent or speed up selection. If customs selects your boat, it could be waiting several months or considerably longer. Any estimated delivery time does not apply while the shipment is held for inspection. We’ll share updates from the forwarder or customs, and the boat continues to its delivery address once released.
4. How long it takes
Build
Funds clear in up to 5 days, then up to three and a half weeks to build from October to April, our busiest season; Hypalon can take up to four weeks.
Transit
The source policy estimates 10–13 days by express carrier after build, with forwarding and crating also taking time.
Tracking
The forwarder normally sends a waybill and tracking link around two business days after factory dispatch.
Your boat is ready about three weeks after you order (up to about four weeks for Hypalon), then takes 10–13 days to reach your door. Boats in stock arrive in 10–13 days. Customs inspections and biosecurity holds are outside our control and can add a few days. Estimated dates are not guaranteed.
5. Remote Australian postcodes
Australian delivery is included to metropolitan and major regional addresses. A small number of genuinely remote postcodes require an additional road leg and incur our flat A$300 remote delivery fee, shown before payment and never added afterwards. It is our fee, not a courier surcharge.
- Northern Territory: Darwin, Alice Springs & remote NT (0800–0899)
- Remote Queensland: remote destinations outside the Airlie Beach–Cairns corridor, including Cape York
- Remote Western Australia: outside Perth metro (6700–6799)
- Tasmania regional / west coast: outside Hobart metro (7200–7470)
- Outback South Australia: Coober Pedy, APY Lands (5700–5799)
Airlie Beach, Townsville and Cairns have normal delivery with no A$300 truck surcharge. Not sure? Call with your postcode and we’ll confirm.
6. Everywhere else
If your country is not priced on the product page, use the International Quote form. The team will provide a written price with freight, transit estimate and duty position for your country and currency. An exact address helps confirm the carrier price before payment.
Request an international quote7. Accessories & outboards
Accessories bought with a boat travel in the same consignment at no extra freight cost. Accessories ordered on their own ship separately; international accessory freight and import charges are confirmed at checkout. Hidea petrol outboards ship by Australian domestic carrier at a flat A$450 to a capital city; outside capital cities we quote on request. Petrol outboards are subject to dangerous-goods rules and cannot travel on all air routes. Haswing electric outboards follow the standard framework, with any contribution shown at checkout.
8. Delivery access & tracking
Boats are delivered kerbside or to the driveway at the front of the property. The carrier is not required to move a boat through gates, around houses, up stairs or down embankments. Make sure an adult can sign, or provide a written Authority to Leave and safe location, and that access suits a small truck or delivery van. The forwarder normally issues the waybill and tracking link within about two business days of factory dispatch.
9. Damage, loss & delays
If your boat arrives damaged, email sales@easyinflatables.com.au within 48 hours of delivery. Keep all packaging and send photos of the damage and the outer carton.
Genuinely lost shipments are rebuilt and re-dispatched at no further cost once the carrier's investigation completes (typically 30–60 days).
Freight is occasionally affected by events outside our control — natural disasters, strikes, customs inspections, biosecurity holds, war, sanctions or major weather. Where a delay is caused by such an event the delivery window may extend without entitlement to a refund, beyond your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Documents & certification
Every Aerowave boat ships with the documentation required for Australian state and territory registration, including a Statement of Conformity, HIN and tax invoice. Where state-level certification such as the NSW Boat Code is required, the inspection is the owner's responsibility — we supply every supporting document. Boat Code inspection costs are typically A$120–A$180; confirm the current charge with your local inspection provider. International buyers receive CE conformity documentation to ISO 6185-3 and EU Directive 2013/53/EU, a Statement of Origin, commercial invoice, packing list and HS 8903.10 classification.
11. Carrier freight increases (fuel and airline surcharges)
Express courier freight is included in the price of every Boat and Boat Package, based on the carrier's rates when the Order is placed. This clause applies to deliveries within Australia and overseas, for every Order whose Boat has not yet been dispatched.
Air freight rates can change quickly — for example through fuel, aviation-fuel or war-risk surcharges. If the carrier's charge to deliver the Customer's Boat rises after the Order is placed, Easy Inflatables absorbs any rise of up to 20% of the included express freight cost.
If the rise is more than 20%, Easy Inflatables will tell the Customer in writing before dispatch, showing the carrier's increase and the amount above 20%. The Customer then chooses one of two options: (a) pay only the amount above 20% and keep express courier delivery; or (b) have the Boat sent by our standard delivered duty paid (DDP) freight service at no extra cost, which typically takes about three weeks door to door (an estimate, not a guaranteed date). The Boat is still flown into Australia on this service, but tracking along the way is more limited than express courier tracking.
Nothing extra is ever charged without the Customer's agreement. If the Customer has not chosen within 5 days of our notice, the Boat is sent by the no-extra-cost standard DDP service. The boat price, the import duty and tax terms for the destination, and any WavePay schedule are not changed by this clause. Any amount above the absorbed rise is a separate freight payment made before dispatch.
12. Frequently asked questions
Does “free delivery” mean there are no charges at arrival?
Not necessarily. Freight may be included while import duties or taxes remain payable on arrival. Your written destination quote should spell this out.
What if the air carrier increases its freight price after I order?
Express freight is included in your boat price. If the air carrier puts its price up after you order (fuel or airline surcharges), we absorb a rise of up to 20%. If it goes up by more than that, we tell you before your boat ships and you choose: pay only the part above 20% to keep express delivery, or have it sent by our standard duty-paid freight at no extra cost, which takes about three weeks. Nothing extra is charged unless you agree. If you have not chosen within 5 days of notice, the boat is sent by the no-extra-cost standard DDP service.
Can delivery take longer than estimated?
Yes. Production, carrier capacity, weather, customs clearance or biosecurity checks can delay transit. If held for full biosecurity inspection, a shipment could be delayed several months or longer; estimates don’t apply while it’s held.
My country is not listed. Can you still quote?
Contact us with your country and postcode. We’ll confirm whether delivery is available and provide freight and border-charge terms in writing.
13. Older orders
Orders placed on or before 31 July 2026 remain governed by the archived DDP delivery terms accepted at the time. Read the archived DDP terms ↗.
